Privacy and Security issue

I have a little problem with spotify where I don't give out any of my spotify information and randomly I'll see some random device using my account. I have reset my account and signed out off all other devices so it's clean now but I don't get why such a widely used app/service doesn't have a better security system like two-step verification or even just a notice of some sort when a device is added to the system.
