Problem with log in on computer

Dear Spotify, 

 

I didn´t use you for only one day a now I have a problem with log in but only when I use it as a app on my computer. It always wrote me The username or password is incorrect (error code:3) since I reset password already. 

 

Can you please tell me what could be wrong?

Hey I had the same problem. Issue is they changed the log in from our email address to just the login name so drop the email address domain at the end of your log in and you should be able to get back on! It worked for me 🙂

I had this problem today too - Windows app (fresh Win10 install) than on Android after resetting the password (which didn't help).

 

I couldn't use my email (with or without the @gmail.com), my username (the one I made).

Ended up having to use the Spotify random generated username piece of hot garbage which is 25 characters long (found in account overview).

Spotify say in their own help section "We’re currently changing our sign up process, so you now don’t need to remember your username to log in (*the one I made was easy anyway*). You can instead access your account with your email address and password."

And then "You don’t need to remember this (*the random generated username piece of hot garbage*) to log in. You can access your account with your email address and password."

No you can't, you do need to remember the random generated username piece of hot garbage (or ctrl+c, ctrl+v anyways) that they've assigned.
