Problems logging in Android app.

Hello, I'm having some problems when logging in to the Android app on a new device.
I'm using an account that's not integrated with Facebook. However, when I try to log in with my Spotify account credentials, I receive the following error:

"You do not have a Spotify account connected to your Facebook account. If you have a Spotify account, please log in with your Spotify credentials. If you do not have a Spotify account, sign up."

Please note that I'm not selecting the "Log in with Facebook" option, and there are no Facebook accounts registered on my Android cellphone at the moment. The e-mail and password are correct, as I've logged just now to post this Message.
If it helps, I'm using a Motorola G1, and my Android version is 4.4.4.

@DaianeStelzner, try out those methods described in this thread.
It seems that if you have the same password in both Spotify and Facebook, such confusion happens.

Please could you try logging into this:

https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

 

This will help me identify if it is an account issue or another reason.

I logged in successfully where you requested me to; I still can't log in on my phone.
Any thoughts? '^-^

Let me explain... 🙂

By reinstalling the application (using the link @Tom gave you) it's possible to get rid of issues such as the application not letting you log in and giving peculiar errors instead.

The webpage you logged into is for managing your account centrally. You don't seem to have issues with that one.
Hopefully I explained well enough. 🙂

Thanks for the explanation, I have now managed to perform a clear reinstall of the App, but I'm still getting the same error when trying to log in with my Spotify credentials.
Maybe I should wait for an update?
