Problems with payments in Italy

I recently moved to Italy and will be living here until the end of the year. When i first moved Spotify wasn't available here, now it is, and now it seems like my Spotify isn't working because I've gone over some listening limit because I am not a paid subscriber. 

I want to pay to use it here, but when I tried using my US cards and US registered paypal account it wouldn't accept either, I assume this is because Spotify asked me to change my country from US to Italy a few weeks ago and the card I use needs to be registered in the country I am currently using it in. 

Is there any possible way for me to pay for it here. Getting an Italian debit or credit card is not an option for me. 

I do have family members back home in the US that could log in for me and pay for my subscription on a computer back home, but would that allow me to use it here since my country setting is Italy? Would it be possible for them to pay for a gift card code and send that to me, and could I then use that here? 

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You should be able to change your country and subscribe using your US payment method, but you will need to change your country in your profile to the US. Have a read at this post about how to change your country.
