Profil info linked to Facebook not changing

Hello all,

 

I have a UK account linked to my Facebook account. I would like to change the info as I am leaving the UK and going to France.

 

I can't change it as it is linked to Facebook. I also changed my mail address but Spotify doesn't seem to take it into account.

 

Have you been in the same situation? Do you have a fix please?

Hey @Tominou11,

have you tried to change the country of your UK account to France like it's shown here:

 

  1. With a free account, you can do this by visiting your account page here.
  2. Change your country and postcode.
  3. Click save profile

    1. If you got a premium account visit your subscription page at this link.
    2. Click update
    3. Click ...
    4. Then click Change Country and enter your payment method with a billing address.
    5. Then click change payment details.
    6. Now your country should have changed.

Thanks for the tip but it is not working...
I have a premium account. When I am following your steps, when I try to insert a French credit card, I have an error message indicating that I need to change the country first :p:

 

"Votre mode de paiement et le pays ne correspondent pas.
Pour continuer, modifiez le pays associé à votre compte ou utilisez un autre mode de paiement."

 

By the way, I am paying £9.99 at the moment. Will I pay 9.99€ after I change?

Any other solution :)?

Hey again @Tominou11,

normally you should be able to use the old account and change the country. Let’s try this again the steps to change the country again:

Have you tried to use an incognito tab, clear the cookies of your browser and use another browser or device?

When this doesn't work, you should try to use another internet connection (e.g. cellular data instead of WiFi).

 

When this doesn’t work, you can cancel the current subscription, wait until the account goes back to Free, update the country, and then resubscribe 🙂
