RECENTLY PLAYED SONGS LIST GONE

JUNE UPDATE OF SOFTWARE REMOVES "RECENTLY PLAYED" LIST OF SONGS.

Software updates and removes RECENTLY PLAYED SONGS list and replaces it with ALBUMS only verson. No longer can you see a list of music you've played. The History optiosn only show ALBUMS. They have removed the "SONGS" list option.

After ten years of membership I transfered myh music over to APPLE and found out THEY don't have a list of songs unless you MAKE ONE. Kinda bad tbh.

SPOTIFY - PLEASE PUT BACK SONGS LIST FEATURE> ASAP.

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!

No worries, you should still be able to find the Recently Played list.

On the desktop app, you can find this in Your Library. 

If you're on the mobile app and you have the new look, you can find your Recently Played songs, albums and playlists on Home.

If you're having troubles, it'd be helpful if you could share a screenshot of what you see so we can take a closer look. Just make sure that no private or sensitive info is displayed when sharing a screenshot here in the Community.

Songs option is GONE

I can't find my songs list in my library. How do I play and/or view my saved songs?!

That’s the issue, Recently Played list by SONG has been removed as a feature

Wait, why would a song streaming service remove the songs option? Also, I found a Reddit post that links to older Spotify versions. You can go ahead and roll back to a decent version if you want.

Yeah I contacted tech support the morning of the update and they said welp that’s because we’re always improving our interface and verified that feature was removed..

Can you pass a link to the reddit ?

Did you follow your own instructions and verify that SONGS choice is missing ? Recently Played shows ALBUMS PLAYLISTS ARTISTS but no longer SONGS

In this case, we'd recommend adding your +VOTE and feedback to this idea. This way, you can stay up to speed with any news we have regarding bringing back the Recently Played list in Your Library or of it including songs along with playlists, artists, radios or albums.

Jesus effin Christ you guys suck!

I DO NOT WANT TO USE THE HOME BUTTON AND JUST GET LIKE 4-5 OF THE LATEST ARTIST I HAVE PLAYED, I WANNA SEE THE SONG. NOT THE FREAKIN ALBUM YOU IMBECILLES!!

Bring back the function like it as before, do not force us to use HOME and then to look at your other crappy categories where you are trying to sell us the artists we do not want to hear. Drake can screw himself and the entire Lame Stream music!!

You have like a short period of time to fix this, or Apple or Tidal will get a new customer and you shall lose one.

Exactly. After 9 years of monthly reoccurring payments i’ve transferred all my playlists to Apple and currently exploring it.

This is still an issue. There's another thread that they locked and marked as closed and fixed, but it's not. There's no recently played songs/song history list, and it makes no sense that they would remove that option.

New features usually mean enhancing the user experience, not making it worse. Spotify premium is seeming less and less worth the price, and I may just switch over to Google or Apple. Especially if they don't listen to their paying users that have complaints about how the service has been made worse.

Why aren't my playlists in order??

In my mobile when I go to My Library, and then Playlists...it orders the Playlists by last used. What happened??

Why can't they be in the order they are put like on a PC?? I am used to have the lists in a specific order, but now I get confused every time. Darn it you guys have made the interface worse! STOP THIS!!! I might have listened to ONE song from a playlist I do not play so much, I do not want that Playlist to be at the TOP of the playlists when I go to My Library on my phone!

And bring back the complete Recently Played function as it was before, not this bad one that comes under HOME and it shows you just like 5 of the last played songs.

You all!! There IS a way to see your recently played songs on Spotify FREE on the mobile app! Go to one of your playlists, and there should be a button that says "add songs". Tap that, then if if you swipe through the suggestions, you should see the one which is your list of recently played songs. for me it has "suggested", "modern rock for you", "k-pop for you", "recently played", and "songs you liked". This is a neat little function i use if i come across something cool and don't catch it in time. Hopefully this helped. Note that you can't be using any pirated Spotify Premium from third-parties. I included an example as an attachment.

• Yes, bring back the recently played songs list! I dont want to see the last few albums, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SCROLL THROUGH THE LAST FEW DAYS OF SONGS THAT I PLAYED! You have a lot of options on the home page, but this was really important and you took it away! The list of albums played is good too, maybe have a drop down for the list? Also, get rid of album radio played, its redundant if you already listed the album that I  played!
