Reset password doesn't work!

Reset password doesn't work!

I was trying to login to my Spotify account, and it did not recognize my password, so I went to the reset password page, and it said the Gmail account wasn't being used for Spotify, and the sign-up page said my Gmail was being used! And I want my playlists!

By the way my username is [removed sensitive info].
This is my alt account.
I don't want to provide my Gmail, sorry.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching to the Community and welcome!

First up, check your inbox to see if you're received any notification from Spotify regarding your account. Make sure you check your Spam or junk folders.

We also recommend checking if you have any additional accounts. The account you're looking for might be a different one. Check out this article for tips on how to do it.

Let us know how that goes.

Hi, I did check my inbox and spam/junk folders but still nothing and I'm sure my other Gmail is for that account.

When putting in the new email it says that it is already taken but I have tried to long into that and it says that the email is not used for any account. How do I change it if it is saying two different things

Hi there @Jerald_Jackson,

Thanks for the reply.

The behaviour continues to be that the password reset form tells you the account doesn't exist, but if you try to make a new account with it or add the same address to a different account, it says the email is in use, is that correct?

If so, then this means the account is likely disabled. This means it still exists, but logging into it is not possible. To investigate this, feel free to reach out to our support team, they can assist you further. Make sure to have all of your payment and account information on hand, as our team will need it to find the account and verify you as the owner.

Hope this helps.
