Setting Device Password

My spotify account was created using my facebook account and there is an option to set up a device password so that I can log in with my username instead, but everytime I try to create that password there is an error and it won't let me do it. I have tried multiple passwords with capitals, numbers, lowercase letters and even exclamation marks, still nothing. Any help?

You can use your Facebook password as password for your devices. So you can login using your Facebook e-mail and your Facebook password. Let me know how it works out!

PLEASE HELP!!! I had long since forgotten my Spotify password and was in the habit of logging in through Facebook. I am now locked out of Spotify on all devices - can no longer get in through Facebook and keep getting an error message when I try to reset my password. Spotify help links lead to dead webs. On the verge of abandoning my paid Spotify account altogether!
