Spotify Error Code 3

I saw on other threads that people have figured out error code 3 with logging in with a username and password, but does anyone have a solution of what to do if Spotify says my facebook account's username/password is incorrect? I already changed my facebook password, scanned my system for viruses, and uninstalled and reinstalled both the desktop and the mobile app. Help please.

Facebook's login system is very unreliable at times.

 

Try to login directly to the app using your Facebook email (the one that gets all your fb notifications) as username and your Facebook password.

 

If that doesn't work, login to the website and set a device password for you to use to login:

My suggestion would be for you to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username of your choice, so you won't have to rely on Facebook anymore.

 

Once you have this new account, contact customer support and they'll help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

 

If you like you can link this new account to your Facebook again, but now you won't have to rely in the Facebook login process, since you'll have your very own Spotify username.
