Spotify Family always switching back to Free

Spotify Family always switching back to Free

I was invited to Spotify Family, twice. We live in the same house, but Spotify always sends me an email (which I always miss for some reason) asking to verify my account. After 7 days and I haven't verified, I was switched to Free. This happened TWICE, on 2 different accounts. Not sure why it needs verification after almost a month - why not do the verification upfront upon getting invited, eh?

Can anyone help? This sucks big time.
