Spotify Philippines

Is Spotify now available for use in the Philippines? I currently have a premium subscription and will be moving back to the Philippines.

We're not over there yet, I'm afraid. However, as long as you keep the subscription running on your US card, your Spotify will still work fine.

Why haven't you moved into the Philippines?

Its normally all down to licensing, Spotify would need to acquire content licenses for all of their content if they where going to move into the Philippines. I have no doubt it will come in the future at some point!

If your account is set to US and the credit card is from there too, yes. You can travel the world with a paid subscription.

I cannot install Spotify on my computer here in the Philippines because of region restrictions.  Same on my Android phone and iPhone.  Although, the account is set to Sweden, using a Swedish account.  😞

Is there a workaround for this?

On android you can download the app from m.spotify.com and follow the prompts to install manually. 

There is no workaround the country restriction on iOS that I am aware off, unless you can change your country temporarily on the store (not sure - never tried!)?

I hope I can install it on my Windows PC too so that I don't have to waste precious battery juice on my tab when I'm at home. 😄

I started with Spotify in 2008 during my residency in Britain. Honestly, this is the best ever music sharing website for free! Amazingly, it is now available in the Philippines. When it started in the UK, it is invitational - it means that your email address will be endorsed by someone for free access. We are lucky that it is totally free access thru facebook account. Again, thanks alot! My world is getting smaller every day.

I using premium now. It says it can play offline but when I don't have access in WiFi or rather have a load and using only my mobile data connection, it will always say "no connection" ... how to fixed that???

I'm on the family plan for spotify premium so the payment is not on my credit card but on someone else's that is from the US. Will I still be able to use spotify in the Philippines?
