Spotify is cheaper using giftcards for UK people!!?!

Hi,

I've just looked to get a friend a Spotify gift card and found that you can only buy them in dollars (I'm from the UK). But instead of a giftcard with money on, it's a giftcard with a certain amount of time for a Spotify subscription.

With today's exchange rate, a 6 month giftcard which is $59.94, means I can buy this for £40, instead of paying the usual £60 I'd have to through my UK account!! And a year is $119.88, so again instead of spending £120, I can buy this for £80!

Is this actually correct? Cos if everyone realises this, everyone will just buy giftcards for themselves and get their premium membership that way!
