Student Account to Family Account

Hello.  I'm a current Spotify subscribed with a student account.  I'd like to upgrade my account into a Family account so that my wife, son and two daughters (all of which have their own FREE individual account) can benefit with Premium features.

My questions are this:

1. Can I upgrade from Student to Family?

2. How do I add my chidren and wife to the family account?

3. What's the process to make the upgrade?

Hi @techlinks, welcome to the Spotify Community!

1. Yes, but you'll lose the student discount.

2. To invite a member:

- Go to your account page.

- Click Premium for Family in the menu on the left.

- Select an Empty slot. 

- Click INVITE WITH LINK or enter the Spotify email address of the person you want to invite and click SEND INVITE.

A confirmation email will be sent when a new member is successfully added to the Premium for Family subscription. 

3 - If you start a Premium for Family subscription, you’ll be the subscription’s administrator. The administrator is responsible for:

• The subscription’s monthly payment. 
• Inviting or change the members (sub-accounts) on the subscription.

SIGN UP

1. Head to the Premium for Family sign up page. 
2. Click GET STARTED.
   Note: If you don’t have a Spotify account, you’ll be directed to create one. Once you do, you’ll be returned to the Premium for Family sign up page. 
3. Enter your payment details and click START MY PREMIUM FOR FAMILY.
