Student Discount not showing up after verification!

I am currently using Spotify Free and I've been verified through SheerID that I am a student. When I follow the links to sign up for spotify student, it just redirects me to my subscription status which offers me an upgrade to premium for 9.99. What am I doing wrong?!?!

Sorry for the trouble! There is currently a glitch with the student discount page for some people. The website team is still trying to fix it.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

I had the same problem. I contacted Spotify support and had them release my email address from my free spotify account. I then had to create a new, separate account through the spotify student website. I now am able to take advantage of the Spotify student discount

Had to create a new account. Takes awhile, but it got sorted out. They transferred all my playlists over. Apparently some accounts are just bugged?
