Suddenly can't find users

I was searching for a friend by putting in his name:  "John Doe" (for example).  

He came up yesterday.  

Now when I type in his name today, it keeps saying, "No Results Found".  

I can locate him through others' profiles.  Why can't I locate him through the Search Bar?

Would there be a reason I could search for him one day, but now am having trouble?

Most common issues can be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way, you can start afresh with Spotify on your device.
