Three weeks ago I asked for my old account to be deleted as I had started a new one. As helpful as the staff were in replying to my request, I find that three weeks on my old account is still there. To fob me off I’m told it’s just my browser cache, but the settings I have would not have this happen. I’ve also tried it with other browsers which I rarely use and still have the same data account coming up. By all means give it a go with yours and let me know what you find ….

Having looked over the whole situation, I’ve now come to the conclusion they won’t ever completely delete my account because it would diminish their user statistics. So the most anyone would get is having their playlists deleted and a banner saying ‘no recent activity’. I’ve simply given up waiting for it to happen now and bringing up the subject with them doesn’t get any closer to resolving it, because they don’t want to delete the account . I should have realised this was what they were doing when I read that any username you used for a ‘deleted’ account wouldn’t be made available again…..reason being it’s still kept as an active user account. Shame on them!

It seems like the profile is gone now. If you type spotify:user:trebor-skcigem into the search bar of your Spotify client, it'll no longer show up. 🙂
Hey @user-removed,
I've escalated this post for you and someone from Spotify will take a look at your post shortly 🙂
As lovely and useful as their staff are…I won’t hold my breath…but thank you 🙂

Thanks for your reply. I have contacted Spotify Support many times about it still being there. All I get back is them saying it was deleted, yet it’s not. This is a screen shot I just took which shows what I still see three weeks on.

Seems that posting this problem has brought it to light and the account has now been completely deleted from their server. Thanks to everyone who replied to my post and to the Spotify staff who pressed the keys in the background to finally see it removed 🙂
