Transferring Music Preferences between accounts

My Question or Issue

I can see lots of articles on how to transfer playlists between accounts but I want to transfer my music preferences between accounts - in other words all the 'likes' I've given to songs over the last year - that Spotify uses to tailor my music. I've spent a long time to get Spotify to learn what I like and don't want to start again (and no, I can't keep the current account).

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community!

As you mention, you can indeed transfer music contained in Your Library, your playlists and people you follow over to your new account. You can simply follow the steps in this Spotify Answer.

However, this doesn't include any listening history or music preferences from your old account. Any personalized content (for example playlists like Discover Weekly, Daily Mix, etc) will start again using the listening history on your new account. 

If you have radio stations with songs you've liked, you can add any songs you've liked from them to a playlist. You can then follow the steps from the Spotify Answer linked above to have that playlist over to your new account.

To get better recommendations according to your music preferences from your new account, we'd recommend discovering and listening to music you enjoy.
