Tries to connect to fb instead of letting me use my e-mail

I do not have a Facebook associated with my account, however when I try to login with my e-mail and password it pops up "no facebook associated with an account, please sign up". I thought at first my login info was wrong cause it's been a good minute since I was on spotify and I just downloaded it to my new phone. I reset my password and when I clicked back to my app it did the same thing again. This is frustrating, I don't want to lose all my music. Please help 😞

That sounds odd. Can you try a clean reinstall in your device? A clean reinstallation usually makes Spotify work like new. You can follow the steps here.
