Unable to reconnect to Facebook - receiving Error Message

I was unable to see my friends activity on Spotify and thought I could quickly resolve this by hitting 'disconnect from Facebook' and then later hitting 'connect to Facebook'. However, having disconnected from Facebook, I'm unable to reconnect, and am receiving a 'Request Denied. There was a problem with this request. We're working on getting it fixed as soon as we can'.
I've since tried logging out of Spotify and logging back in via Facebook, which worked but has not restored my account being properly sync'd to Facebook, as well as uninstalling the app completely and reinstalling. I've also removed Spotify from my Facebook Apps, which didn't change anything either.
Any advice? Or is this maybe a Facebook problem rather than a Spotify one?

Please note that you're able to connect your Spotify profile with Facebook only while using the desktop app. Feel free to check this article for more info on the topic. 

If you're still getting the same error it might be worth trying on a different desktop device using a different internet connection. In case this doesn't help, please reach out to our customer support team here who has all the necessary tools to look into this further.
