Unauthorized upgrade to Family + hacked account

Unauthorized upgrade to Family + hacked account

Today I realized that my account has been updated from Premium to Family without my permission. I also noticed that unknown profiles (with **bleep**-like names) took advantage of this family account. How is it possible that I updated to this family plan without knowing it? How is it possible some random people can access my account and use this family plan? I really don’t understand. I just downgraded to Premium as soon as I realized that. Now I am asking Spotify a refund of the difference between Premium and Family for the month I didn’t ask for.

Hello, thank you for your answer. I do have access to my account, the hack was totally transparent to me. The problem is I payed during 1year for a family plan I don’t want. As my email adress was also hacked I didn’t received any information about it. I want a direct contact with Spotify to ask for a refund.

In this case, I'd recommend getting in touch with Spotify via the contact form. Their support team will be able to take a look at your issue and you'll hear from them shortly.
