My Question or Issue

Hi guys!
I'm not sure when did this happen exactly, but my profile picture disappeared and my username changed to *please check the attached screenshot*. I've managed to add a new picture, but can't do anything about the username. My account was linked to Facebook before, thus it was using my Facebook profile picture and name, which was great. I tried doing this again, on the desktop apps I don't even get the option to *connect to Facebook* under settings -> social. I did try this on my phone and it did not work. I've also tried logging out and logging in via Facebook directly, as suggested in the help page, but it did not help as well.
Basically I want to connect my account again to Facebook *properly* with the proper name and profile pic, so that I can discover my friends and the other way around. Since I'm having that problem across different platforms and devices, I don't think it's device or OS related problem. I don't even know what caused this issue to begin with, as it was all fine and one day, I just saw it like this. All apps on all devices are up to date.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi there @t0rbaLAN,

thanks for posting !

Could you please clarify if you disconnected your FB account or had performed any changes within the account that might have effected it ?

What i suggest is to visit Spotify.com, log in to your account overview page, scroll down and click "Sign Out Everywhere.

After that, please make sure to connect to all devices using your FB account.

Then, pay a visit to the account overview page again, scroll down and select the "Privacy" tab on your left.

Then, make sure the "Process my Facebook data" is turned on.

If it isn't uncheck and tap it back on.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

"Then, make sure the "Process my Facebook data" is turned on."

This fixed it. I don't know when and why this has been disabled, I didn't do it on my own and I wasn't even aware of that option. Perhaps it was something done automatically because of GDPR regulations (since I'm in Europe) and needed to be reconfirmed manually again. However, this is just a guess.

Anyway, the important thing is that it's all good now. Thanks for your help, great answer!
