Wife hears my music and I hear hers

1. Whom ever sets the music last is coming out of both my wifes and my phone. She can be 100miles away.

Keep in mind that one account can't be used on two devices at the exact same time, so if you're both logged into the same account and you select something to play, it will also play on her phone. 

In this case, the best thing to do is make sure that you're logged into the right account. If you're unsure about this, you can check your email address in your Account Overview page.
