So I got an email saying my acct email had changed, I replied and they said no worries, click the link below and change the password. That link didn't work.  I have no spent 4 hours chatting with someone on support which I'm wondering if it's even a real person.  I am on a trial premium acct so I wont be charged till next month, however the hacker will now get my acct for free.  The person I chatted with said they cant verify my acct because I did not have a bank statement and i explained I wouldn't because I just did the trial this month. Then they wanted my email with a receipt and I've never received one email from Spotify until this morning about the email change. I have emailed support and have not received a response. I've checked my emails and junk and NOTHING! Will I just have to call my bank and cancel the card?

Rest assured, the person you've chatted with is actually a real person 🙂 If you've reached out to Support through the contact form/email, it can sometimes take up to 24-72 hours to hear back from them, so going through the chat is likely the fastest way.

 

However, since you've already contacted them, I recommend waiting, since creating multiple support cases won't speed up anything. 🙂
