My Question or Issue

Why do I see ads disguised as "annoucements" in paid plan. Why those ads are so irrelevant to my intrests (Spotify exactly knows what do I like and what not, just look at discover weekly). Why do I need to opt-out from seeing ads in paid plan (if there is such  option)

I am seeing the same behavior. I listen only to subgenre electronic music (mostly techno).
The announcements that Spotify shows me are completely irrelevant to my taste. Right now they are showing me the soundtrack to HBO series Insecure (Rico Nasty, Pink Sweat$, etc <- none of the artists I even heard of). I have never watched this series, never played any of the artists from the soundtrack, don't even listen to commercial hiphop. So this is not an announcement based on my taste, this is an ad, as correctly reported by the user above.
