giving premium service as a gift

I would like to give the premium service as a birthday gift.  Can I sign up and pay for the premium, but someone else that already has an account with Spotify actually use it?  Or should they sign up with their account and I just provide the payment information to them?

Gift premium is as simple as going here.

He can redeem the code you'll provide him.

If he already has premium, the next moth he won't pay.

either buy an e-card with the link @OviiiOne has provided, or buy a gift card in a store. They're available in many stores depending on in which country you live. Please make sure you and your friend are both living in the same country because a code bought in the UK can't be redeemed in the US for example.
