Am locked out of my premium account on a device I haven't used in a while. When I try to log in it says: This app is restricted to premium users only (error code:accesspoint22)

Hey there! I am happy to help. 


Can you let me know if you're able to access your Premium account here? If so, can you try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps and let me know if that makes a difference?

If you're still having trouble, please send me a screenshot of the error message that you get when you try to sign in (make sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community), and the make and model of your device, and we'll go from there.

Yes that links takes me to my account page but can't go to the player from
Before I try a reinstall can you tell me if it is going to be possible with
the system i am using Macbook OS X Yosemite. When i tried yesterday to
download the app again it said it isn't possible. The trouble is that I
can't upgrade my computer... so can't use spotify.
If i do manage the reinstall will the default settings affect my account on
any other devices?

Thanks for getting back to us.


You mentioned running an old OS version on your device and not being able to update it. As an alternative solution, although we realize may not be ideal, would be to use the Spotify Web Player, as it is not affected by your devices OS. This way you can freely access Spotify without needing the app on your device.
