logged in via fb but when I try to add another log in method it doesn't work

My Question or Issue

I want to change my name on spotify without changing my name on fb so I wanted to add a different login method and disable the fb method. But when I try to add an email and password it just says 'Something went wrong, please try again.' The same thing happens when I try to add a google login (although I'd prefer an email and password as google will probably also share the wrong name. I've tried several times including after restarting my computer and no luck. Please help

You should try with a different browser, or open a private window (incognito mode), and see if that does it.

Also, try in a different device (computer, tablet, etc.)

If you created your Spotify account with Facebook, you can create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username, so you won't have to rely on a Facebook account.

Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges, library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

If you like you can link this new account to your Facebook after the switch.
