password unknown, trying to reset

I mistyped my password when registering, and I'm trying to reset it. When I click on "forgot your password" it takes me to "edit your profile", which has a change password section. However, when I enter a new password that brings up a "confirm your changes" section which wants my original password, which I obviously don't have. Also under community help there appears to be a broken "reset your password" link. I want to have my password reset and emailed to my registered email address. How do I do this? Thanks.

From your online profile, click on your name at the top and select Log Out. Then go to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/ and request a reset.

If you want to retrieve your password, log out then from the login screen, click on the "forgot your password" link.

Awesome thanks that worked. I didn't realize I needed to log out first, which seemed risky given that there was no way to log back in.
