I do not recall ever giving Lithum permission to interact with my account. When and how did this get into my approved applications? Does anyone else have this, use it, or know what it is?
Any information would be appreciated, thanks. I went ahead and revoked access but I am interested in what this thing was.
Details:
Lithium Community - Production
Client application for Lithium Production
Community SSO - please contact

Hello @askermaster! Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Lithium is the very community forum web application you and I are using to talk to each other right now, and it's pretty cool! If you scroll to the bottom of any Spotify Community page, you'll see a "powered by Lithium" logo in the lower right, just above the dark colored footer.

Lithium boards power a lot of different support communities, such as Skype, Best Buy, Sony Europe, Sephora, and Verizon, to name a few. It's actually my favorite online community tool for helping out users. But I digress.
It should be fine to leave it as approved since you created an account on Spotify's community, but you can cancel the approval if you so desire.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
I see "powered by Lithium" in the Spotify community interface, and some searches have shown that Spotify uses this company's services. I am still curious what this app was, and if there are any effects of revoking access. Again, I don't remember explicitly doing anything with "Lithium Community - Production."
Looks like "Lithium Community - Productions" is back in my approved applications, as well as "support.spotify.com login Login with SSO from support.spotify.co."
So, I'm assuming all this is just part of the normal service and nothing to be worried about. Still, I wish there was some upfront info as I think it's odd for something like that to just appear in the approved applications.

Lithium is a tracker that provides companies with data on your behaviour for advertising purposes, as stated in this book.
I find it appaling that I'm paying Spotify and I have this installed or linked to my account in any way.
Hello @jmng. Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!
That's correct - Lithium Community is like any other forum board or social network on the internet. Through your account, you can ask for help, share ideas and feedback, and post on the forums. In Spotify's case, it's allowed for a great community of people to grow and help each other.
The Lithium software that book is referring to is Lithium Response - an enterprise tool for customer engagement. Lithium Response is a Social Media Customer Service platform that offers a great way for companies to also help their users via posts that might be asking about the companies' products or services, but aren't directly tweeted/posted to a companies' Twitter handle, Facebook Page, or Instagram account.
You'll notice that in the App menu in your Account page on the Spotify website, it's Lithium Community - Production that is listed, and not any other Lithium products. This allows you to post to the Community Forums here to get help, ask questions, or share music with us. 🙂
You can choose to revoke access to Lithium Community through the App menu in your Account page if you truly don't wish to use the Spotify Community forum boards. Follow the link below and click Revoke Access beside the App you wish to revoke.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! 😄
I'm pretty sure this is how we get all the tailored playlists...every single app you install tracks your behavior; do not be fooled. If you own a cellphone...and you have every turned it on...you are being monitored and tracked.
A book. So, I can pay someone to tell me what to be afraid of? That sounds great! They'll protect me by pointing out what's dangerous and scary, and I can pay them more to sell me another book!

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends
They're in my head
I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you
We broke our mirrors
Sunday mornin' is everyday for all I care
And I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze 'cause I've found God
[Chorus]
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
[Verse 2]
I'm so lonely, that's okay, I shaved my head
And I'm not sad
And just maybe I'm to blame for all I've heard
But I'm not sure
I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet you there
I don't care
I'm so horny, that's okay, my will is good
[Chorus]
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
[Bridge]
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna crack
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna crack
[Verse 3]
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends
They're in my head
I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you
We broke our mirrors
Sunday mornin' is everyday for all I care
And I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze 'cause I've found God
[Chorus]
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
[Outro]
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna crack
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna crack
