when upgrading to premium am stuck in loop trying to login with facebook

I recently had to cancel the credit card that spotify uses for my premium account.  Consequently, my premium service has stopped.  I successfully changed the details of my credit card.  However, when i try to upgrade to premium spotify asks me to re-enter my password with a facebook API.  When i do this it just kicks me back to the same page where i am supposed to re-enter my password instead of letting me progress to the next step.  Any help is greatly appreciated

Hey Mike. I have the same problem, and I just checked the other topics in hope of finding the answer. A moderator has written this to another fellow with the same problem: 

Hi guys, just to let you know we're looking into this issue. 

It seems to be affecting both upgrading and unsubscribing so if your subscription is about to renew and you wanted to cancel before then, get in touch with our support team. If you're looking to upgrade, support won't be able to do that for you, sorry. Hopefully things'll be working again soon.
