2026 RAV4: Android Auto skipping Spotify songs when using steering wheel control

My Question or Issue

When using Android Auto in a 2026 Toyota RAV4, pressing the steering wheel "Next Track" button causes Spotify to skip two songs instead of one. The intermediate song briefly appears on screen before immediately advancing to the following song. The issue is fully reproducible and occurs every time.
