upgrade to 8.9.4.33  new upgrade fixed mine problem.

Since the last update (December 28) the app is crashing at launch. 
After clean uninstall and install from Prod and Beta channel.

Update, play a song from pixel watch create the same outcome. Music play for 1 seconds then app crash.

 

I would have thought Spotify has a code freeze policy at this period of the year.

 

Also might be a a simple feature flag issue in the remote config.

 

Hope this will be sorted out ASAP

I deleted the app and make a new installation, but this error is still there.

Same for me. Had to roll back a version.

 

Pixel 7 Pro with Android 14.

Pretty frustrating that it's the second time within few months that a broken version has been pushed to the Play Store. A not tech savvy person will simply have their access to music denied on their phone.

 

Also to the community, please upvote or press on the "me too" button of this thread to push the post to the top.

Spotify Beta. After the update at 28 desember, spotify wont work. I tried to opt out of beta to try an older release and now none of spotify versions work... I've tried to delete all of the data spotify had aswell. Hurry up and fix, gonna have a party tonight and**bleep** is stoppin' it... #booper #spotifydestroyingNewYear23

My issue is a little more complicated. My app keeps telling me it has a bug & won't be able to open until there is a fix. I've spoken to support & they've had me repeat everything I already did so at this point I have: removed cache, deleted storage, uninstalled & restarted then installed. Repeat at least 10 times. Sometimes it acts like it's logging in & then crashes & sometimes it says it has the bug.

But was told we are supposed to be on .192 or something. I had to restart & lost the chat.

 

My son solved my issue. TURN OFF THE BETA VERSION & the correct version will load. I now have Spotify loaded & playing on phone once again. Version: 8.8.96.364

Spotify crashing at start-up for me, started today, crashes upon login attempt.

Cleared cache - no fix

Uninstalled/reinstalled - no fix

I'm a beta tester, app version 8.9.2.169 (nice)

Works for me on other platforms (Google home, Web player, PlayStation)

 

Edit: Fixed it by changing my default browser from Firefox with loads of privacy add-ons to vanilla Chrome. Now can log in. Switching back to Firefox doesn't effect it after login is successful.

Can't side load it and the current version on play store still crashes. What a**bleep** show spotify!!!
