Android TV (nvidia shield): Cannot browse new album releases

Android TV on nVidia Shield (sheild version 8.1.1)

My Question or Issue

I cannot browse the latest album releases in the newest version of the Spotify app on my nVidia Sheild. The home tab displays recently played content and stations based on my listening habits. The search tab displays genres & moods tiles that lead me to more stations.

I cannot find where to go for browsing full albums. Everything is geared towards curated stations. I'd like to have both options on the Android TV app. Am I missing something?

I have just recently got a nvidia shield pro and absolutely hate how spotify is on it. As you said we can not see new releases, the library is not in alphabetical order and its just images of the artists rather than text. I have found this to be horribly disappointing to the point of considering a new provider.

I tried sideloading spotify but that didn't work. If you find a work around please let me know.
