[Android Wear] Spotify keeps "connecting"

[Android Wear] Spotify keeps "connecting"

So I bought a Huawei Watch 2 Sport, running Android Wear 2.0

I've downloaded the Spotify app from the play store, but it keeps showing "connecting", and if long enough it says connection failed.

I've tried the following steps:

- Clear app data and cache

- Uninstall and reinstall app

- Reset the whole watch and begin from zero.

Problem persists with all kind of connections:

- Via BT connexted to the phone (phone on 4G or wifi)

- Directly connected via WiFi.

Android Wear version: 2.8.0.182823779

App version: 7.6.0.1153

I have the same watch with the same connection problem. This looks like it is a widespread issue. I’ve done the same as _rena_chan_ as well as resetting permissions and removing all other connected devices before adding again. My phone is the Nokia 8.

Exact same issue with wear24 watch and lg g3 phone, please fix.

Same with ticwatch and fossil watch, both on galaxy S7

Ditto with LG Watch Sport and Samsung Galaxy S7

It would be really great if they would fix this.

hey folks!

I was facing the same issue (I was about to move to Google Play Music - promisse - next issue I will).

I solved the problem by installing a BETA version released in Feb 14.

Take a look at: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/spotify-ltd/spotify/spotify-8-4-41-785-release/

This worked for me! Thank you!!!

I have a Fossil Q Venture and Samsung Galaxy S8

I can now use the spotify app on my watch to choose a playlist, but there is no way to control the music. Can anyone recommend a good app for the watch?

"Wearify for Spotify"

also a ticwatch E and 1st gen moto 360

pretty sure the app needs an update there spotify!

This works for me!!! Thanks
