App doesn't register songs playing

When I play music the app won't tell me a song is playing. If I have my phone connected to a device either via bluetooth or aux the music will continue to play even when the device disconnects.

I've been having the same problem for a few days with premium/pixel 3/android 10. The only thing that seems to 'fix' it is to reboot, but it always comes back pretty quickly, so it's not much of a fix.

I'm doing exactly the same. I've had it happening for about a week, it's just not ideal. Thanks anyway though
