'Browse' and 'Discover' tab gone frome mobile app after the new update

Hey everyone,

I updated to the newest version of Spotify a few days ago, and so far I'm loving it, but I have one really annoying bug.

The 'Browse' and 'Discover' tabs have disappeared from my phone menu after this update. I still have them on my computer, so I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be there. My friend also updated to the newest version on his phone (iOS though), and he still has those tabs.

Anyone have an idea why this happened?

Could you try logging out of the spotify app (last option in settings) and log back in. If that doesn't fix things, try reinstalling the app.

Nope, tried both logging out and reinstalling, didn't fix it.

Oh wait. I think you have a new home screen which probably replaces the browse and discover tabs. I'm going to be very vague here because I don't have this myself but others have mentioned it so I'm guessing they're doing some form of A/B testing on android users.

Are you not able to access the same content as browse/discover gave you from that home screen?

Oh wow, can't believe I missed that lol. It's indeed on the home screen now, thanks!

I kinda liked it more when it was accesible from the side menu though, I wonder if they'll keep it like this.

Looks like a test so I guess it depends on feedback from the beta testers 🙂
