My Question or Issue

When clicking "Search" on my phone, and then trying to browse different themes clicking boxes e.g. "Audiobooks", "Pop", "Rock" etc. Spotify app immediately closes and crashes. Reinstalling the app doesn't help. On computer desktop no problem. - Another question: Audiobooks became available today here in Finland. On computer, the home page shows a compilation of those, from different areas, in English. When clicking "Browse", on PC, that is, I get a small collection, only in Finnish. Is it in any way possible to browse a bigger collection of the books available?

Hi there, @ericrose

Thanks for reaching out!

You mentioned you've already tried reinstalling, but if you haven't already, you can try clearing the Spotify cache directly from the app by following these steps:

1. Open the Spotify app and tap your profile icon in the top left corner.
2. Select Settings and privacy from the menu.
3. Find the Data-saving and offline section, then go to Storage.
4. Tap Clear cache and then confirm by tapping Clear cache again in the pop-up window.

Make sure you have the latest version of the Spotify app installed from your device's app store. An outdated app might have compatibility issues. Also, low device memory can cause performance issues. Freeing up space on your phone/device might help.

Regarding the audiobooks catalog, there are audiobooks that are included with your Premium subscription and others that you'll have to purchase individually. The ones you see on your catalog or when you click on "browse" are the ones included with your subscription, not the whole audiobooks that Spotify have. But, if you're not seeing many audiobooks there, you can try like this: Go to Search > Under Browse All > select Audiobooks > Browse featured titles, or scroll down to browse by category.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you for your answer! Clearing the cache didn't help, however, but then I got a new idea. Some time ago I'd registered as Alfa (or Beta) tester; so I followed instructions how to leave that group and installed the normal version of the app, and now the browsing works as usual. So it seems that the glitch was in some testing version of the app.

Hi again @ericrose,

Thanks for getting back to us.

We're glad to hear everything's back to normal now! The Community will be here if anything else comes up.

Have a great day!
