Can Spotify connect to a device whilst in offline mode?

I work away from internet access and I am trying to work out how to play the playlists and podcasts I have downloaded in offline mode but from a speaker. Is this possible? I don't see why I can't connect to a device?

There is no way to use Spotify Connect without an active Internet connection because it uses your network to determine if there are devices playing on the same or other devices where your account is logged in. You can read more about Spotify Connect here. You can use a jack to play music on external speakers or Bluetooth when you are in offline mode.
