Can only shuffle play on Spotify Connect from Android to PC

My Question or Issue

I used to be able to use Spotify Connect from my phone to my desktop, and use my phone as a remote control. I could choose specific songs on my phone as long as it was playing through the desktop. However, now I'm only able to shuffle play as if I'm listening on my phone. I've restarted both apps, tried on two different desktops, different networks, made sure they were both up to date, etc. Spotify on my phone has updated since it last worked, so I think that's the trouble.

TL;DR

When listening on my PC and using my phone as a remote, I can only listen on shuffle play. 

I couldn't find anyone else with the same issue, any thoughts?
