Can't open menus on downloaded songs

My Question or Issue

The menu will not open on songs when I have them downloaded to my phone and have service but it just keeps saying "Go online to see menu". A downloaded song shouldn't need service to open the menu so I can add it to a que or playlist in the first place and I do have signal. I have been having this issue for a very long time and it happens quite frequently. Is there a way to fix this that doesn't involve deleting the app. I have around 5000 songs downloaded which takes a long time to save again.

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

On another note, do you get the same behavior from another device?

I was hoping not to delete the app so i won't have to redownload all my
songs. I clear my cache regularly and the only devices I ever use spotify
on are computers so I haven't had the same issue.

Thanks for posting.

We understand how redownloading your songs might be an inconvenience,  but a clean reinstall removes any possible corrupted files from previous installations. Most likely these are causing the app to malfunction. The fact that this doesn't happen on other devices also points in that direction.
