Can't save songs to library

I downloaded the app about a month ago and love it, finally convinced my husband to download it tonight and he cannot save any songs or albums to his library. It says that it's a premium feature. Did the app change?

Adding music to the library is available for everyone but downloading music to the device is a premium feature on mobile phones. Is he trying to download rather than add to the library? If not a quick reinstall as described here should fix this.
