Download not working - "turn on 2g/3g" message

Hey guys,

My Spotify app tells me to "turn on 2G/3G to download" music from my playlist even though I have the "Sync over cellular" option switched on. I guess the issue is that my HTC phone is connected to the Internet via USB and the Laptop's Internet Connection, because it works when I am on mobile Internet. But as I have limited data usage and Wifi is broken on my mobile connecting it via the Laptop is the only option to download large chunks of music. So it seems the Spotify app does somehow not realise the phone's Internet connection via USB when downloading. Is there any way to solve this?

Thank you!

Hmm. Looks like tethering isn't an option, to be honest it's not the usual case scenario. Maybe you should see in the ideas forum if sync over tether has been suggested, if not then create a new topic. I'm afraid I know of no other way to sync.
