Equalizer is missing from Android

My Question or Issue

I cannot find an equalizer option on my oneplus device as well as my samsung mobile phone even after following all instructions on spotify's help pages.

What am I missing? please could someone guide me?

UPDATE: After working with a kind staff of Spotify on this:

The equalizer option only appeared on my Samsung M30s. 

It did not appear on my OnePlus 6 and Honor 5 Tablet.

What I learned was, the appearance of the equalizer is device (manufacturer) specific and not dependent on Spotify.

However: 

I found that both the other devices have their own proprietary equalizers inbuilt that worked beautifully with spotify and greatly enhanced my sound. LOVED IT!
