How do I hide the chapters bar in full screen?

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 plus, there is a chapters bar that won't go away in full screen and landscape orientation. I see it in portrait and I'm wondering if it's getting pulled up into the view when rotated as well, instead of staying hidden. It's distracting when watching a video that should fill the whole screen.
