How to move offline songs from Sd card to Phone storage?

How to move offline songs from Sd card to Phone storage?

Hello, i'm trying to figgure out how to move my offline songs from my sd card to phone storage.
I've spent some time searching for an answer but i can only find out how to do it the other way around.
I have tried manually moving the cache files from sd card to phone storage but this make the songs unplayable, nothing happens when i start a song.
I don't even why spotify is installed on ny sd card, i thought phone storage was preset?
Anyway, if there's anyone who knows a fix for this except reinstalling everything i'd be very happy since i have limited phone network, no access to wi-f and 4gb of songs.
I was thinking of removing the sd card, reinstall spotify, make one song offline enabled, getting the sd card back in my phone and at last move the songs, can anyone confirm if this works? 🙂
Anyways, thanks in comprehension!
Best regards!

You need Spotify's program files on the same storage device as the music for it to play. I recommend removing the card and re-installing on the phone like you suggested.

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?

I tried to do as i wrote in my post but now everything is **bleep**ed up.
The files are at the location they should be. I'm usually pretty handy with this stuff but this goes beyond what my head can manage.
I removed my sd card, installed spotify on the storage device, offlined a song.
This is where **bleep** gets far beyond my knowledge.
Before i transfered the directory from my sd card i thought i should rename the device directory, i assumed the app reads the files through the directory name since the app itself isn't installed in those perticular files i was moving around (i know this since i have previously moved this directory and lost only songs and not the app.).
But apparently after renaming the directory, the app will still read that one song i offlined.
So i thought "let's just move my sd directory to where that one offlined song were stored and i should be good to go".
Wrong again, now my app won't read one single offlined song, not the one, nor the other 300 offlined songs. They won't even appear as they did mentioned in my first post.
By now i am very confused and affraid i have lost all my songs.
Is there no one around that's able to help me?
Maybe one of the guys over at spotify?

Nevermind, i accidently messed up the whole thing now. Lost all my songs and won't be able to listen to any music in about a month, feels amazing....

Hi. This sounds frustrating to say the least. I've had situations like this where things just don't go to plan. I feel your pain!

What I'd suggest is doing a clean install as per the troubleshooting guide linked in my signature. Once done, like you say create an offline playlist with the sd card removed.

Another option would be to clean install, but make sure the sd card has less free space than the phone memory. On install the app determines the storage with the most free space and will set that as the cache location.

Well, the reason why i didn't want to do a clean install is because i have limited network access, 8gb download per month, which is not a lot.

The last thing you wrote is what i thought to, but that's not the case. My phone has 16gb storage and my sd card has 4 but still my phone choses to install all stuff on the sd card.

Anyways, thanks for trying to help. I'll just wait untill i get wifi access or untill i get internet refilled.
