Huawei p20 - Problem downloading songs from Spotify

I have Spotify premium and a Huawei p20. The problem is to download songs from Spotify so I can play them when I am offline. I have turned on the button "Download using cellular", but still Spotify shows only a black circle with a green arrow in front of every song. To be able to play offline, the circle should have turned fully green with a black arrow. What can I do?

Hey there @doro1968

We suggest you first disable any power-saving or data-cleaning settings on your mobile. Alternatively, you can try authorizing Spotify to run without restrictions despite the mentioned settings being enabled. It’s worth it trying this since such features can often prevent the app from operating at full capacity.

It's also a good idea to test if you observe the same under a different network. If it works with another connection, it's best to contact the service provider of the original network for more information. For example, some shared or public networks (e.g. schools/work/office) might restrict access to certain services, which would explain what happened here.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.
