I cant stop Spotify from running in the background on my Samsung 12.

Spotify runs in the background no matter what I do on my Samsung 12 phone. It will use around 10% to 15% of my battery even if I have not used the app at all. I have tried to force stop this which seems to work until it is recharged again. 

I have reinstalled the app with out any luck. Any ideas?

Can you perform a clean reinstall? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick - can you let us know which version of the app you have?

That has worked by the looks of it. I didn't clear out the old the first time I reinstalled. Thanks for your help.
