My Question or Issue

When im listening to slipknot i see some festival video ad in the background(instead of album art or whatever supposed to be there). If i dont touch the screen for a few secs, the spotify GUI fades away, the ad fades in and just keeps on going, its pretty distracting and annoying. Not to mention useless battery drain. Im paying money for premium and i cant find any option to disable this bull****, what the actual ****?? 😞

Hi @testusername321, thanks for writing.

This is actually a new feature, but the animated images are generated by the artists, and not by Spotify.

You can support this Idea - if it gets enough votes it might be implemented.

Thanks for your response.

Spotify provides artists' PR teams with means to push ads right into my face - and I think Spotify can do better than that for its premium users. Thanks for thr link, I upvoted the idea and hope it will get implemented ASAP. Frankly, this should have been a default feature.

I agree with you, @testusername321.

On the other hand it's the first time I see an artist using this feature to promote an event. I'm not even sure if it's something actually allowed.
