Is it possible to sign in with Facebook on mobile without having Facebook app installed?

Pretty much what it says in the title. When I click "Log In With Facebook," rather than prompting me for my Facebook username and password as I would expect, it says "A Facebook error occurred." I'm not going to waste space on the Facebook app since I never use it. Should I just give up and uninstall the Spotify app too or is there a way to directly sign in using Facebook credentials on the app?

Similarly to other apps on which you can use a facebook log in, spotify needs the facebook app for authentication purposes.
