Sometimes, the lyrics for a song loading forever. However, if I minimize the app and reopen it, the lyrics instantly show up. I've attached a video that demonstrates the problem.

 

I also noticed that quitting and opening the app again can cause already loaded lyrics to disappear, which requires the manipulations mentioned above.

Thanks for the additional details!

 

We appreciate the feedback on this. While we're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at this time, I'd recommend making sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

 

The Community is here if something else comes up in the meantime.

Thanks for reaching out!

 

Have you already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app? This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

 

If this doesn't do the trick, could you let us know if this is happening with all songs? If possible, it'd also be helpful to know if you're able to replicate this behavior when logging in to your account from a different device.

I've done a clean reinstall as you suggested, but unfortunately the problem is still present.

 

However, I've found a way to trigger this problem manually. To do this, you need to force the view with the lyrics to be re-rendered frequently in any way. For example, in the attached videos, I switch between the player and full-screen lyrics views.


Also I took another phone on Android, installed Spotify, tried to reproduce the issue and got the same results.
